THE DAWSON’S MANSION***

Mr Dawson furiously throws some papers at Angelo, and Angelo gulped down hard, crimping his fingers.

“Are you nut!!!” Mr Dawson yells at him, and Angelo kept calm looking at him.

“How could who have done so poorly in the last exam, you passed on trials Angelo!!!” Mrs Dawson scolds him.

“I’m sorry” Angelo mumbled.

“Sorry? Sorry? Did you possibly think we won’t find out even if you kept it from us huh!!” Mr Dawson yells at him.

“Are you trying to ruin our reputation? Is that your evil plan? Answer me Angelo!!” Mrs Dawson yells at him.

“No” Angelo reply slowly.

“Then what with the low grades, we have a higher reputation in the country Angelo, your Dad is the Congress man, Do you have any idea how embracing it’s going to be knowing that the son of the Congress Man can’t even climb up to the top 10 in his school? Do you have any idea how embracing it might be!!!” Mrs Dawson yells at him.

“I think is better I send you to Los Angeles” Mr Dawson said and Angelo quickly look at him.

“No Dad, I don’t want to go to Los Angeles, I’m already in my final year in High School, What’s the use of sending me to Los Angeles”

“That way your going to concentrate better, having your friends around is always making you loose forcus, maybe if you go to where you don’t know anyone, You’ll forcus more on getting a good grade, Is high time you stop embarrassing us” Mrs Dawson said.

“I promise to do well this time Dad, Don’t just send me to Los Angeles, I don’t want to go there” Angelo said.

“You better do like you have said, Cos if you fail to present a good result and end up embarrassing me again, Your going to answer to the voice of the thunder, Understood?” Mr Dawson asked and Angelo nods his head.

“We’re going back to Mexico, but also know we have our eyes on you… Let’s go sweetheart” Mr Dawson said and both leaves the mansion.

Angelo heaves a sigh and sits on the couch, he swipe his hair to the back, but it falled back to his forehead.

His phone buzzed, he checked the message and it was from Carding and Dylan

ANGELO, ARE YOU OKAY?

DID THEY SCOLD YOU BADLY?

Angelo looks at the message and drops his phone without replying to their messages.

“Why can’t they behave like my Parents for once…. They even forgot today is my birthday” Angelo muttered sadly, and falls to the couch, as his eyes stare at the crystal chandelier in the ceiling.

He heaves a sad sigh.

“My life sucks” He muttered covering his face with his arm.

******

BACK IN SCHOOL***

Nadine furiously enters the restroom and sees Paige washing her in the washbasin.

“What’s with the drama you acted ealier?” Nadine asked angrily.

Paige chuckles.

“I see your back from the land of unconsciousness”

“Who ever gave you the right to kiss Carding!!” She yells.

Paige smiles and snuggle closer to her ear.

“It wasn’t our first, and it won’t be our last either” Paige whispers to Nadine. Nadine tried to slap her, but Paige was quick to caught her head.

Paige toss her hand to the back, placing Nadine’s head inside the washbasin, turning on the water.

Nadine winces and screams.

“Paige!!, Let go off me!!! She spats trying to break free from the water that’s descending on her, but Paige puts her head more deeply inside the washbasin.

“The reason why I came to this school was because of you, I’ve heard about your annoying stunt, so don’t think of trying it with me, Cos your skeleton of a mom will surely conduct your funeral” Paige said.

“Let go off me Paige!!!” Nadine screams, trying to breathe .

Paige smiles, she turns off the sink faucet and release Nadine.

Nadine was soaked from head to toe, and her wet hair covered her face.

“Who did heck are you do to this to me!!”

Paige smiles.

I’m Paige incase you’ve forgotten my name… Too bad I love looking for trouble, especially to spoilt brat like you, You better watch your back Nadine, cos sooner or later, your going to turn to sardine” Paige said and leaves the restroom.

“Ahhhhhhh!!!” Nadine screams loudly scattering everything inside the restroom.

And remembering how Carding said she was beautiful and how she kissed him, made her go insane.

“Not once has he ever said I’m beautiful, I haven’t gotten a chance to kiss him and yet she said this wasn’t their first kiss ahhhhh… Carding is mine, he belongs to me!!” Nadine screams going mentally insane.

“I’m going to kill her!!!” She screams again.

******

Paige came out from the restroom and sees Carding standing, resting his back on the wall.

“Carding….

Carding takes her by the hand before she could finish saying the words in her mouth, and Paige willingly followed him, without objecting.

Carding release her hand when they got to the school’s rooftop.

“Why did you bring me here?” She asked.

“Why did you kiss me?” Carding returns her question with a question.

“Huh?”

“The last time we kissed, you said we should forget it ever happened, and now you kissed out of the blue at the cafeteria, Why Paige?”

Paige heaved a sigh.

“It was nothing”

“You don’t just kiss someone without a reason Paige, Why did you do it when you clearly said we should forget about our first kiss?” Carding asked tucking his hands in his pocket.

Paige bits her lips.

“I only did that to spite Nadine” She answers.

“What?”

“I’m sure is already obvious to you that I hate Nadine, after what she did to my mom, I’m determined on dealing with her, that’s why I came to this school anyways” Paige said.

“So are you saying you used me as a pawn”

“Is not like that Carding, Don’t take it the wrong way, I only did that because I heard she likes you, I just wanted her to be jealous”

“So that was it” Carding mumbled and turns to leave but Paige held his hand.

“Are you mad at me?” Paige asked.

*Even if I am, my love for you won’t let me* Carding said inwardly, looking at her beautiful enchanting eyes.

“Your mad at me, right?” Paige asked.

Carding smiles, and slowly removes her hand from his wrist.

“No I’m not” He answered with a smile, even if he was hurting so badly.

“Then where’re you going?” Paige asked.

“To Dylan…. You can go back to your friends, they’re waiting for you” Carding said and Paige nods.

Carding take a last glance at her before leaving, while Paige watch him as he leaves.

“Why do I feel like his mad at me. Maybe I shouldn’t have kiss him to spite Nadine, but that girl is so annoying.. Carding” Paige muttered his name, taking in her lower lip.

Carding came downstairs from the rooftop and met Dylan obviously looking for him.

“Dylan” He called and Dylan turned back to look at him.

“Where have you been Carding? I’ve been looking all over the school for you” Dylan said.

“Sorry Dylan, I was with Paige”

“Did you get to find out why she kissed you?” Dylan asked.

“Let’s not talk about it for now. What about Angelo? Did he reply to your text?” Carding asked.

“No he didn’t”

Carding sighs.

“I’m sure his parents forgot about his birthday again, We should go to his house and celebrate it with him like we have always done in the last six years” Carding said.

And Dylan nods his head.

******

CONVENIENT STORE****

The girls laugh as they talked about the scene Paige pulled ealier.

They were back from school, and the four of them sits outside the convenient store, owned by Desiree’s dad.

“Are you sure you both aren’t twins, because you two act thesame way?” Stacey asked smiling.

“We’re twins from different mothers” Paige said.

“High five twinny” Desiree said and both hits hands. Stacey and Sabrina laughs

“You both are so compatible for each other… Thanks to you both I got to laugh so much today” Sabrina said smiling.

“This is just the beginning Sabrina, as long as you always hang out with I and Paige, you’ll get to laugh each passing day” Desiree said.

“Enough with the chitchating Desiree and come help me out, we have lots of customers to attend to, but you keep chitchating and laughing with your friends” Bryan said.

Stacey and Sabrina looks at him.

“Who is he?” Sabrina asked.

“Let’s say his my brother, but we aren’t in anyway related, he lives with I and my Dad” Desiree answers.

“Does he attend Empire High like you do?” Stacey asked.

“No, he goes to a different school, he doesn’t have the brain to school in Empire High”. Desiree said and Bryan glared at her.

“His handsome” Sabrina said and Desiree laughs.

“Whose handsome? Don’t tell me your referring to that chimpanzee” Desiree said pointing at Bryan laughing.

And Bryan threw an empty can of soda at her, Desiree rushed to him pulling his hair, Bryan also held her hair.

“Ahh. Take you useless hands off my hair chimpanzee”

“You should do thesame ape” Bryan fired back, still pulling her hair.

“Are they always like this?” Stacey asked looking at Desiree and Bryan who were moving around in circles, pulling each other hair.

“Yes, but both are the sweetest when they act like siblings” Paige said. She stood up to her feet, went to where Desiree and Bryan was and seperated them, by holding the edges of their clothes.

“That’s enough you two…. Don’t you know the saying that people of the opposite s*x who always argues and fight with each other, end up loving each other”

“God forbid” Both Bryan and Desiree said at thesame time glaring at each other.

“Suit yourself then…. Anyways Bryan we’re going to help you out in attending to the customers, Desiree isn’t my best friend for nothing.. Right girls?”

Both Stacey and Sabrina nods with a smile.

They were about entering the convenience store, when Sabrina got a call from Seth.

“Hello Seth… Wait, why’re you crying?” Sabrina asked, Paige and the rest of the girls looked at her.

“Don’t cry anymore Seth, I’ll be at home before you know it” Sabrina said crimping her lips.

She ends the call and looks at the girls.

“Sorry that I can’t help out, but I have to go”

“Did something happen?” Paige asked.

“Yes, but I can handle it”

“Are you sure? Maybe I should go with you” Stacey said.

“No don’t, I don’t want your life to be revolved around my problem, is a little problem that I can handle…. See you all in school tomorrow” Sabrina said and took to her heels.

“Is everything alright with her?” Desiree asked.

Stacey looks at both Desiree and Paige, and sighs.

“She’s always going through a lot, being the breadwinner to her brother is so hard” Stacey said.

And both Desiree and Paige felt sorry for Sabrina.

******

SABRINA’S HOUSE***

“Seth” Sabrina said rushing inside the house, but her jaw dropped when she sees some men tidying and decorating their house.

Seth was also sitted munching a breathtaking fried rice, with turkey lap.

Sabrina quickly went to him.

“What’s going on here Seth? You called me earlier saying the landlady threw our entire stuffs outside, asking us to leave her apartment, so who’re these men and why are they redecorating our house?” Sabrina asked pondering on what was happening.

“Someone paid for it big sis”

“Someone?”

“Yes, when the landlady was still kicking us out, he came out from no where and paid for our rent, he was the one who told these men to redecorate our house, and also bought me this food worth thousands of dollars…. I think he’s thesame Guy who paid for my treatment”.

“Where’s he then?” Sabrina asked.

“He left after he paid the landlady and these men” Seth answers.

“Were you able to see his face?” She asked again.

“Yes I did, his very good looking big sis, and I think his just a high school student like you… Do you want some?” Seth asked giving him a full spoon of rice.

But Sabrina only sigh.

“Who could he be?” Sabrina muttered, bitting her lower lip softly.

THE DAWSON’S MANSION***

“Happy birthday Angelo” Both Dylan and Carding said clinking glasses with him, Angelo smiles.

“Thanks guys, not once have you both forgotten about my birthday”

“We’re best friends since elementary, so is going to be embarrassing if we forget about it” Dylan said, and Angelo smiles.

“What about your parents?” Carding asked.

“Since traveling has become their everyday meal, they took a flight back to Mexico, I thought they came back just because they want to wish me a happy birthday, not knowing they only want to scold me for doing poorly in the last exam”.

“Are you alright?” Dylan asked worriedly, and Angelo smiles.

“Yes I’m, is been years, so is something to get used to… Anyways, I saw what was posted on the school’s blog, what was that about? Paige kissed you”.

Carding sighs.

“She only did to spite Nadine” Carding said sadly.

“Why do I feel like it broke your heart” Angelo said.

“Because it does” Carding said.

“Hold on a sec. Your in love with Paige?” Dylan asked and Carding nods.

“Since when?” Angelo asked.

“Since the first day I saw her… But I doubt if she feels thesame way for me cos if she does, she won’t kiss me out of the blue to spite someone” Carding said sadly.

******

Paige sits in the bed going through her phone, and she smiles seeing the pictures she took with Desiree.

“She’s so beautiful, I’ll use her as my wallpaper” Paige said, and used Desiree’s picture as her wallpaper and continues flipping the pictures in her phone, then She saw Carding’s picture, and remembered how she secretly took a picture of him.

She smile euphorically, staring at his picture remembering the first day they met each other, and how she took his hand, running away from the owner of the car.

And also how she flipped him over her shoulder thinking he was a thug, how close both were sitting with each other during the times he was lecturing her.

The kiss they shared the night she was drunk, remembering all this made her smile so widely. She kept looking at his picture, and like a slow magic, her heart began to beat, till it increase into high pitch, pouncing rapidly.

Paige quickly threw her phone away, slapping herself.

“Pull yourself together Paige” She said.

“Have you fallen in love with me?” A voice asked and Paige looked at where the voice came from and sees Carding smiling at her.

“Have I enchanted you?”

Paige shakes her head, and Carding’s image disappeared.

“What’s wrong with me? Why am I suddenly seeing Carding?”

“Because you love me” Carding’s reflection said sitting on the bed.

“Ahhhhhh!!!” Paige screams jumping down from the bed, She looks around, but his reflection was gone.

“I’m going insane, I’m definitely going insane!!!” Paige said roughing her hair.

“Water… I need to wash my eyes, my eyes are going crazy” Paige rushly said and hurriedly went to the bathroom, pouring a lot of water on her face.

She raised her face to look at herself in the mirror, but instead of seeing herself, she sees Carding’s reflection instead.

“Do you want to date me now that your in love with me?” He asked pouting his mouth for a kiss.

Paige shakes her like an insane person and screams loudly.

“Carding!!, What have you done to me!!!!”
