CITY OF TEXAS~7:30 am.

Naomi sleeps soundly in her bed, turning back and front, enjoying the cold weather of the morning.

Brielle, her younger sister enters the room, and was surprised to see Naomi still sleeping.

“She’s still sleeping, but I thought she has an interview with Global Company today”. Brielle said.

She sighs, and taps Naomi.

“Naomi, Naomi, wake up, is morning already”.

“Leave me alone Brielle, I want to sleep some more”. Naomi murmurs sleeping.

“Sleep some more at this hour, you’ve to wake up Naomi”.

“Didn’t I just tell you I don’t want to, why can’t you just leave me alone, I had a long day yesterday, so let me be”. Naomi said sleepily, turning to the other side of the bed.

“But I thought you said you’ve an interview with Global Company today at 8’o clock”.

Naomi opens her eyes at once, and quickly stands up from the bed.

“Why’re you just telling me now Brielle”.

“What!!….have been waking you up, but you keep saying I should leave you alone, that you you want to enjoy your sleep”.

Naomi scatters her hair.

“Then you should have tried harder, thanks to you, am late for my interview”. Naomi said and quickly puts on her glasses so she can see properly.

“But I tried my best, didn’t I”. Brielle asked.

“No you didn’t, out of my way”. Naomi pushes Brielle away lightly, and dashed inside the bathroom.

“Why is she mad at me, didn’t I try waking her up, but she didn’t bunch, and now she blames me”. Brielle said and pouted.

Naomi quickly Came out from her room, already dressed up for the interview.

“Good morning Dad, Mom”. Naomi rushly greeted.

“Morning dear, let’s have breakfast”. Susan, her mom said smiling.

“Thanks Mom but I can’t”.

“Why Naomi”. Susan asked.

“Am f*cking so late for my interview, and I can’t waste anymore time”. Naomi said.

“Good luck Naomi”. Dante, her dad said.

“Thanks Dad”. Naomi said and quickly dashed out of the house.

“She missed breakfast again…..Brielle!!!”. Susan yells, and Brielle startled.

“Mom!, Why did you call my name out loud, when am just next to you”.

“Why didn’t you wake Naomi up, you know how this interview is so important to her”.

Brielle sighs.

“You too, first it was Naomi and now you, tell me mom, since when did I become Naomi’s alarm, is not my fault she’s a sleepyhead”. Brielle said trying to eat, and Susan hits her head.

“Mom!!!”

“How can you call your elder sister a sleepyhead, you know how hard she has been working for this family, but you…all you do is eat, and yet your grades in school never comes up”.

“That’s enough Susan, you don’t have to scorn her”. Dante said.

“Your the reason why she’s getting spoit Dante, because you always defend her”.

“Am not defending her Susan, I just want us to have a quiet breakfast”.

Susan hits her hand in the table.

“Fine….you both can go ahead and eat, I won’t be joining you both”.

“Why Susan”.

“Because I already lost my appetite, and I also want to go to the market to buy some stuffs, so we can celebrate my lovely daughter for having a job, unlike some rat here”. Susan said and leaves the house.

“Really dad…..I….a rat”.

“Don’t mind your mom Brielle, she’s just jocking, go ahead and eat, eat as much as you want Brielle”.

“Thanks Dad”. Brielle giggles.

Naomi Keeps running nonstop, her long hair scattered all over her face but she didn’t Care.

She was supposed to be at Global Company for her interview by now.

“Your so clumsy Naomi, how can you keep sleeping knowing you have an interview today”. She said almost crying.

That’s her, little things makes her cry.

She may act strong, but she’s has a weak heart, which is likely to get broken by any little thing.

“Hello Mrs Ivy, is everything set for the grand opening”. Alex said over the phone, as he drives.

“There’s a problem sir Alex”.

“Why, what happened”. He asked.

“The entire drinks we imported are all expired”. She said.

“What!!!”. Alex screams loosing control of the car, and he almost hit Naomi who was trying to cross the road.

Naomi screams her lungs out and falls to the floor.

“Sir Alex, is everything alright over there”. Mrs Ivy asked.

“No, I think I almost hit someone….I’ll call you back”. He said and ended the call.

He quickly came out from the car.

“Ms, are you alright”. He asked, touching her.

Naomi raised her head up, and pushed him to the floor forcefully, making Alex falls on his butt.

“How can I be alright, when you almost Killed me!!”. She yells angrily.

“Ms, am sorry, it wasn’t intentional”.

“Not intentional, if you had killed me, will your sorry bring me back to life, if you can’t ride a car, why can’t you pack it in your house, instead of trying to kill me with it!!”. Naomi spats.

“Hey four eyes, didn’t I just say am sorry”. Alex said.

“Did you just call me four eyes”. Naomi asked.

“Your wearing glasses right, so it makes you one, if you’re crazy then am not, I already said am sorry what more to you want, do you want me to give you money for compensation…fine I’ll give it to you”.

Naomi Scoffs and said.

“You must really be so full of yourself, and come to think of it, you’re just relying on your parents money and you dare say you want to compensate me…..you’re so rude you know that”.

“And how I’m I rude, didn’t I just apologize a while ago, but you refused to appeal to it, and I also offer to give you money, and you say am rude”.

“Yes you’re, you shouldn’t be driving, when you don’t know how to drive”.

“Does sorry don’t exist in your breed…I just said am sorry”. Alex said.

“No it doesn’t and…….”. Naomi stops halfway and gasps.

“Darm am so f*cking late, this is all your fault, am going to kill you, when next I see you”. Naomi said and quickly took to her heels.

And Alex arch his eyebrows.

“She’s a weirdo”.

RK NOBLE HOTEL***

“What Happened Mrs Ivy, I thought the drinks imported were fully checked”. Alex asked his manager, immediately he got to the hotel.

“Yes it was, but I guess it wasn’t checked properly”.

“But you were in charge with the importation right, so how come this happened”. He asked.

“Am sorry Sir Alex”. Mrs Ivy apologize.

Alex sighs.

“Is fine….the grand opening will be starting pretty soon, just contact one of the wine companies in Texas, and order drinks from them, and it should be snappy to avoid chaos”.

“That’ll be a waste of money Sir Alex, am really sorry for not checking properly, am so sorry”. Mrs Ivy apologize.

Alex smiles.

“Is fine Mrs Ivy, all what matters right now, is for the grand opening to be a success ok, we can be able to cover up the loss expenses, when the hotel is finally opened up for business”.

“Am sorry once again sir Alex”.

Alex nods with a smile.

Naomi walks one step after the other, like the road was too hard for her to Walk on.

Oceans of tears falls down her eyes, as she remembers what happened earlier.

*FLASHBACK*

GLOBAL COMPANY***

Naomi runs after the manager of Global Company.

“Ma’am, please hear me, ma’am, I need to talk to you”. Naomi said running after her.

The lady stops and looks at Naomi.

“What do you want Naomi Salvador”.

Naomi hiccups in tears.

“I just want you to give me a second chance, please ma’am”.

“Am sorry Naomi Salvador, but there’s nothing I can do”. She said.

“Why ma’am, are my not dressed well enough”.

“Is not that Naomi Salvador”.

“Then why, why don’t you want to have me interviewed”.

“You weren’t the only one applying for a job Naomi, you were late for the interview, and someone more deserving took the job, am sorry Naomi, but there’s no Job left for you”. The lady said.

*FLASHBACK ENDS*

Naomi squatted on the ground, crying.

“What am I going to do now, what am I going to tell my Mom, I promised her I was going to get the job no matter what happens”.

*FLASHBACK*

“Is already late Naomi, why’re you still up”.

Naomi looks at her mom and smiles.

“Sorry Mom, but I’ve to fill this form before I go to bed”.

“What form”. Susan asked.

“Is a form for the job am applying for at Global Company”.

“Your applying for a job”.

“Yes mom, am applying for a job in one of the biggest Company in Texas, once I applied, I’ll be interviewed and then boom I’ll get the job”.

“And what if you don’t get the job”

“Come-on mom, have you forgotten who I’m, am Naomi Salvador….your daughter, have you forgotten how intelligent I am”.

Susan smile and caressed her hair.

“Sorry, I forgot you got the brains of a thousand people”.

Naomi smiles.

“And once I get the job, I’ll give you my first pay”.

“Your going to give me your first pay”.

And Naomi nods smiling.

“Then what about you”.

“Don’t worry about me mom, remember am working so hard, just for you, Dad and Brielle”.

“Your a good daughter Naomi, I’ll be so sad if you will one-day leave me”

“Leave you….where am I going”. Naomi asked confusedly.

“You’ll one-day get marry Naomi, and I won’t have you around”. Susan said looking sad

Naomi smiles.

“Now I know where you’re heading at….but that not going to happen”.

“Why, does that mean you won’t get married”.

“Hmmmmm, maybe or maybe not, because I want to spend the rest of my life with you”. Naomi said resting her head in her mom’s b**bs.

“Your so Corny Naomi”.

Naomi giggles.

“I love you so much Mom”.

“I love you too Naomi”. Susan said and Pecks her cheeks.

Naomi smiles.

*FLASHBACK ENDS*

Naomi Cleans the tears in her eyes, but it kept pouring out like a running tap.

“What am I going to tell her, am sure she’ll be happily waiting for me to tell her the good news, am really a disappointment”. Naomi said.

And her crying continues.

RK NOBLE HOTEL***

The hotel was fully decorated, that mere looking at it, you could easily tell it was well lavish with money.

And judging from the structure of how the hotel was built, it’s surely one of the most beautiful and astonishing hotels, that Texas has.

And Alex’s cute smile, never left his face, as he gave a speech for the grand opening of his hotel.

“Today, I celebrate the grand opening of my hotel, and am so grateful to as many of you, who have come far and near, just to be here….and I also thank my family you’ve always supported me from day one……my name is Alex Melendez, and am the sole owner of RK NOBLE HOTEL”.

And the guests present claps their hands, while some murmured admiring Alexi’s good looks.

Julio, Alex’s Dad went to him, and hugs him so tightly, before starting his speech also.

“On behalf of my beloved son Alex, I would like to thank each and everyone of you, for taking time out of your busy schedule to celebrate with the Melendez family……my son is really so hardworking, even if his always busy managing my company, he was still able to make the grand opening of his hotel a success, am so proud of you son”. Julio said.

And Alex smiles.

“Thanks Dad”.

“Let’s all now cut the ribbon for my beloved son, as his new business begins today”. Julio said.

The Melendez cuts the ribbon with Alex, the guests claps, while the photographers, were doing the business of taking multiple pictures.

“Congratulations son”. Emilia said hugging Alex.

“Thanks Mom”.

“Congratulations buddy”. Kingston said.

Alex smiles and shakes hands with Kingston.

“And now let the celebration continues for the success of my son Alex Melendez who now owns a hotel”. Julio said making a cheer.

And the guests joined too.

Emilia came out from the hotel, looking so pissed off.

She took her phone from her bag, and quickly dialed a number.

And the person from the other end, picked after the first five rings.

“Hello ma’am”.

“Keep your hello to yourself, I paid you to do a good job, so why didn’t you do it”.

“I did as you instructed ma’am”.

“Then why is Alex’s grand opening turning out to be a success…..I told you to sabotage his grand opening, by exchanging the imported drinks from California, with an expired ones!!”. Emilia yells.
