Alex quickly enters the hospital with Naomi in his arms, looking so scared.

“What happened to your girlfriend”. The doctor asked, checking Naomi’s pox.

“She’s not my girlfriend”. Alex answers.

“Then who is she to you”.

“I….I dunno her”. Alex answers.

“You don’t know her, and you’re panicking this much”. The doctor asked, and Alex sighs.

This was him, he cares about people’s lives more than he cares about his own life.

Maybe because it was hard for him during his time of growing up.

Or Maybe he couldn’t just forget the fact that his Dad died, as a result of no one helping him….that he couldn’t tell.

All he knows that he can’t sit back and watch people suffering.

“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with her”. The doctor said, still diagnosing Naomi.

“But she find it difficult to breathe earlier, and she fainted afterwards”. Alex said looking at Naomi.

“Is that so, then let’s inject her to revival her back”. The doctor said.

*Inject….me*. Naomi said inwardly tightening her eyes.

“Get the syringe ready”. The doctor said to a nurse.

“Okay Doctor”. The nurse said.

She came back few seconds with the injection box, and when the doctor was about injecting her, Naomi quickly opens her eyes, and got down from the bed.

“Am Fine, am totally okay, you don’t have to inject me with that”. Naomi said adjusting her glasses, and Alex looks at her in dismay.

“I thought you fainted ealier, so how did you manage to wake up with no ones help”. Alex asked.

Naomi scoffs and said.

“I was just playing around, the whole drama I did earlier wasn’t real, you’re just to dumb, that’s why you believe it”.

And Alex’s jaw dropped.

“Did you know the damage you’ve caused me, I left a business meeting I was supposed to go to, thinking your life was in danger!”. Alex halfyells at her.

“Is not my fault you fell for my trap, your the reason why I lost my job the very first day will met,cos you almost Killed me, am just having my revenge on you”.

“Revenge….I didn’t even hit you on purpose, and if you had appealed to my apologies you won’t have been late to whatever Job you were applying for…..you know what, I don’t blame you, I blame my stupid heart who cares about people alot”. Alex said.

And with that He leaves the ward.

The doctor and nurse looks at Naomi, and Naomi coughs looking elsewhere.

MEMORATA CORPORATION***

Alex quickly came down from the car, the moment he arrived in Memorata corporation, he checks his phone, and sees the thousands of missed calls from Mr Conner.

“Sh*t”. He muttered and enters the building, he quickly took the elevator, that lead him to Mr Conner’s office.

“Where’s Mr Conner”. Alex asked the secretary.

“He left few seconds ago, and the meeting he was supposed to have with you, he already had it cancelled”. The Secretary said.

And Alex sighs and quickly dials his number, and Mr Conner pick after so many rings.

“Hello Mr Conner…..wait I can explain why I didn’t show up, someone….”

“I don’t need your stupid excuses Alex, I left something so important, just to have a meeting with you, and you played with me”.

“I didn’t Mr Conner, something happen ealier that’s why, can we please reschedule another meeting…we’re serious in signing a contract with Memorata corporation”.

“Sorry Alex, but I don’t have the time for child’s play”. He said and ended the call.

“Hello, hello Mr Conner….he hanged up on”. Alex muttered looking at his phone.

“This this all that four eyes fault….what am I going to say to Dad”. Alex said running his hand through his hair.

THE SALVADOR HOUSE***

Naomi sits up in the bed for the sixth time.

“Stop thinking about it Naomi, you didn’t do anything wrong, you were only getting back at him for making you loose your Job, and his at fault for falling for your stupid trap, if he doesn’t meet up with the meeting, then is not your fault…..you were only having your revenge”. Naomi said assuring herself.

She falls back to the bed, but sleep never came.

“Just sleep Naomi!!!”.

THE MELENDEZS MANSION***

“What!!, you couldn’t sign the contract with Memorata corporation”. Julio asked looking surprised.

“Am sorry Dad”. Alex said taking in his lips.

“What happened Alex, is unlike you to loose a contract”. Julio said, and Emilia smiles secretly.

“Is all my fault dad, I couldn’t make it on time for the meeting”.

“And since when did you start been late for a meeting Alex, I trusted you on this!”. Julio halfyells at him.

“Julio, please give him a break, is not his fault and you know it….maybe he couldn’t make it on time because he was busy in his hotel, he just opened it remember”. Emilia said.

“Am sorry Dad, for letting you down”. Alex apologize.

Julio sighs.

“This conversation is over”. He said and leaves.

“Don’t worry about this son, am sure his going to get over it soon, you should rest, I know you must have a long day throughout today, go have a shower and rest ok”. Emilia said caressing his cheek.

Alex looks at her and smile.

“Thanks Mom, but I’ve to be at the hotel”. Alex said.

“Alright son, take care of yourself okay”. Emilia said hugging him.

“I’ll Mom”. Kelvin muttered.

He leaves the house, and Emilia smiles wickedly.

“There…..that’s what I have always wanted, for Julio to be mad at you, you can’t always be the star in his eyes, while my son continues being nothing, I hope this continues, still he loose his complete trust on you…..son of a nobody”. Emilia said with a wicked smile on her face.

NOVA HIGHSCHOOL***

“Brielle”. Jason approach her, when he sees her carrying a carton filled with books.

“Oh Jason”. She muttered.

“What’s that”.

“Is the new delivery books for the school Jason, I was asked to take it to to the library by Mrs Lucy and she’s going to pay me for it”.

“Is that so, lemme help you Brielle”.

“Is fine Jason, is not that heavy”.

“I insist Brielle, and I won’t take no for an answer”.

Brielle looks at him.

“Fine then….if you say so”. She said and handled the carton of books to him, and both headed for the school library.

“Have Naomi been able to find a job”. Jason asked.

“Not yet Jason, she’s still job hurting, is so hard finding a job, and sometimes I wonder what’s the point of going to school”.

Jason stops walking and looks at her.

“Does that mean you don’t want to further your studies”.

“If I was given an opportunity to choose, i would’ve quit school a long time…is really stressful…you always have to be on time for school every day that passes, and you have to burn the midnight candles just reading for exams, is so stressful Jason, if not for my parents and Naomi, I would have stopped schooling”. Brielle said.

“Really”. Jason asked and she nods.

“FYI Brielle, guys don’t like girls who can’t read or write, and they hate girls who’re very lazy”. Jason said, and Brielle looks like him.

“And what that supposed to mean”.

“Am just stating a point Brielle”. He said Walking away.

“Just stating a point….was he referring to me…hey Jason, stop right there”. She orders.

Jason looks at her and pokes out his tongue.

“Caught me if you can”. He said running.

“Come back here Jason!”. Brielle yells running after him.

THE MELENDEZS MANSION***

Kingston enters the house, and Emilia quickly approach him

“Where have you been Kingston, you didn’t spend the night here, is a good thing your dad didn’t ask after you”.

“Why mom, did something happen”.

“Yes son, the good son finally made a mess”. Emilia said smiling.

“I don’t understand mom”. Kingston Mutters looking Confused.

“Alex was unable to sign the contract with Memorata corporation”.

“Huh…Alex of all people couldn’t sign a deal with Memorata corporation, how did that happen”.

“I dunno know, but who cares, all that matters now is that your dad is so mad at him”.

And Kingston smiles.

“Dad is mad at his favorite son”.

“Yes son, and this is the very first time this has happened, the moon and Stars are finally on our side, this is your chance to prove to your dad that he made a mistake choosing that adoptive son of his over you”. Emilia said.

And Kingston smiles.

THE RODRIQUEZ MANSION***

Vivi enters the house, looking bitchily like always.

“Where have you been Vivian, and why didn’t you answer your phone when I call last night”.

Vivi Scoffs and said.

“Dad, am not a kid anymore, you can’t detect my every move”. She said forming a balloon from the chewing gum she was munching.

“As long as you still live here, is my right to always detect your every move, lemme guess, you were with Kingston last night right”.

“And what so wrong with that, Kingston is my boyfriend”. Vivi said.

“Can you hear yourself Vivi, you spent the entire night with a useless man like Kingston, the only thing that fool is good at is S*x”.

“That’s enough dad, you’ve no right to insult Kingston like that”.

“And why shouldn’t I Vivi, that boyfriend of yours is a flirt, who never resist anything that Wears a skirt, I dunno what you see in him for you to date a guy like him, when Alex is there”.

“And what’s that supposed to mean”. Vivi asked.

“Rather than dating a no good guy like him, you should go for Alex instead, he doesn’t flirt around like your useless boyfriend”.

“You know what Dad, this stupid blabbing is over, and let this be the last time you’ll ever mention I dating that adoptive creature to my face again”. Vivi said leaving.

“Vivi, Vivi, come back here, am not done talking you….Vivian!!!.”

But Vivi ignores him, and went upstairs.

SILVER RAIN BAR***

“You couldn’t get the contract with Memorata corporation, that’s unlike you Alex, your meetings with your dad’s client always turn out to be a success, so what happened”. Calvin asked.

Alex sighs.

“Everything turn out this way, because of a crazy four eyes girl I met”.

“Four eyes, I don’t get you Alex….does she actually have four eyes.”

“She wears glasses, that makes her look like a granny or those from the past”.

“So what did this crazy four eyes girl do to you”.

“She’s the reason why I wasn’t on time for the meeting I was suppose to have with Mr Conner, can you believe she pretended to be at her dieing breath, just so I could take her to the hospital”.

And Calvin laughs.

“Why’re you laughing Calvin, this is a serious matter”.

“Am sorry Alex, but is so funny, where on earth did you meet such a girl”. Calvin asked between laughter.

“I dunno Calvin, I keep bumping into her anywhere I go”

Calvin chuckles.

“So what are you going to do now”. Calvin asked.

“Am going to get back at her, when next I see her”.

“And since when did you get back at someone Alex”.

“Well she made me to, she took advantage of my kind heart”. Alex said.

Calvin Smiles.

“You know what Alex, this is the first time you’ve speak about a girl ever since Angelika left you”.

Alex looks at him.

“When is she coming back”.

“I dunno”. Alex muttered and gulps down his glass of wine.

“You miss her right, despite what she did to you, your still craving for her right”.

And Alex kept Mute.

RK NOBLE HOTEL***

Mrs Ivy enters her office, and looks at the person backing her.

“Are you the one who wants to see me”. She asked.

And she turns to face Mrs Ivy.

“Yes ma”.

“And how can I help you”. Mrs Ivy asked.

“My name is Naomi Salvador and I want to apply for the job of a caterer here in this hotel”.
