Who Is Ozark’s Tom Pelphrey? 5 Things to Know About the Actor Dating Kaley Cuoco

New love! Less than one year after Kaley Cuoco and estranged husband Karl Cook announced their split, she moved on with fellow actor Tom Pelphrey. “Life lately,” the Flight Attendant star, 36, captioned an Instagram gallery on Tuesday, May 3, including multiple selfies with the Ozark actor, 39. “The sun breaks through the clouds, rays of gold slipping into my eyes and heart, rays of yellow to break the grey.”

Pelphrey, for his part, acknowledged his budding connection with the Big Bang Theory alum via an Instagram tribute of his own. He wrote, in part, on Tuesday, “Nothing can save you. And you stand in the moonlight and a sweetness comes off the top of the trees, and the fence around the yard seals you off from the dark and you can’t breathe.

It is all so familiar and possible. It is too simple that there is this much good in the world and you don’t know how to have it.” The New Jersey native concluded his post: “And it makes you wonder when it was you lost your place. Then you catch a breeze, so warm and ripe, it makes you hope that someone will come who also cannot save you, but who will think you are worth saving.”

Pelphrey, who was previously linked to Jaimie Alexander, is also a successful actor in his own right. The Broadway alum, who notably plays Wendy’s brother Ben Davis on Ozark, has landed roles in the likes of Mank, Outer Range, Iron Fist and Banshee

1. He’s Also an Actor

In addition to his starring turns as Ben Davis on Ozark and Joe Mankiewicz in Mank, Pelphrey’s acting credits include Guiding Light, Hostage, Excuse Me for Living, Jill and American Murderer.

2. He’s a Big Football Fan

“My feeling is some people never get anything even close to that,” Pelphrey told Esquire earlier this month of his New York Giants fandom. “It’s like, you can’t complain. For the rest of your life, you can’t complain. I can bitch about the Giants. But most people never get better.”

3. High School Drama Inspired His Acting Career

“It was really having a very special man who was my teacher in high school [that got me into acting],” he told Collider in April 2020. “Growing up, I played sports and I was terrible at all of them. I wanted to try football but I had to wait for high school, and I did that for a few weeks and then I got hurt, so someone said I should audition for the play, which I did, but I didn’t think I could do well. And anyway, I got a little role and I met this amazing man named Steve Kazakoff.”

The Iron Fist alum continued: “He was an incredible man, he was disciplined, he was scarier than the football coaches, he was very strict, and it made it feel important, what we were doing, something that perhaps, in different circumstances, maybe I wouldn’t have taken it seriously, He made it very serious and I think I really responded to that, and I responded to the discipline, and I think having him as a teacher kind of shaped the rest of my life.”

4. He’s a Fan of the Outdoors

Pelphrey frequently shares social media snapshots from his outdoor pursuits, including several hikes in Austin, Texas, where he has been shooting Outer Range.

5. He’s a Proud Dog Dad

Much like his girlfriend’s love of animals, Pelphrey frequently dotes on his pup Sasha (affectionately nicknamed Sasha Fierce after Beyoncé’s moniker) via social media.
